Karalyn & Kaleb
June 23, 2019
This couple…I could tell they were completely in love with each other from the first time I saw them. The glances, the leaning into each other, the kindness towards each other….simply everything. When I asked for their love story…I’m surprised I didn’t end up in tears.
They chose to do their wedding on a Sunday. It really is rather brilliant and their RSVPs came in with yes at a higher rate than normally. Part is because of how fabulous this couple is…the other part is being a Sunday ceremony you still have your weekend do to things yet can finish the weekend out celebrating.
They chose The Shores in Emmetsburg for both their ceremony and reception. The ceremony was held under an arbor near the lake shore line. They choose colors of sage green, ivory, greenery and gold accents. The goal as a simple, romantic vintage feel for the event.
We selected roses in both and ivory and white (it helps with photography to have colors that differ from each other) plus stock, carnations, Italian ruscus, tree fun and eucalyptus. Very romantic in a loose boho feel.
The tables had a mixture of floating candles in Heart ‘n Home rentals (actually everything was Heart ‘n Home rentals) plus taper candles and frosted votives. Touches of greenery helped soften the look and brought it towards the guests. Table size is always a consideration when selecting centerpieces - but we are very familiar with The Shores tables and set up and knew this would be an excellent choice.
What may have made us walk away from this event with our hearts full and our energy and a high level is BOTH the bride and groom took us aside, individually, and personally thanked us for making their vision come true. Seriously!
On their wedding day they thought enough of what we had done to personally say thank you.
We put countless hours on a wedding that most don’t even realize. To receive the recognition for that is simply amazing.
Karalyn and Kaleb….May your marriage be a true blessing filled with forever shared love, happiness and laughter.
