I wanted to share these pictures with you - even though this happened a long time ago (is five years a long time ago?).
I was asked by Iowa House of Representative, Tom Shaw, to create an ornament for the Iowa Governor, Terry Branstad. This would have been for the Christmas season of 2013. It was to go in the governor's mansion on the state tree. From what I understood - someone from every county was asked to create something.
So...in the normal "go big or go home" mindset that I tend to have...I created an ornament. I decided to go back to my roots and create a dried ornament with mostly flowers from our area. Well...this thing ended up being a little bigger than even I perceived it to be. But...why not?! So I sent it with Mr. Shaw down to Des Moines.
To my surprise - they liked it so well that they hung it in his office! Here are the pictures I received from one of Mr. Branstad's aids (they had called to make sure it was ok to place it where they did).
